Frances has 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, innovation and business development.
She began her career in sales and marketing in the food & beverages industry, before moving into consumer healthcare at SmithKline Beecham, now GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). During her 21 years at GSK, Frances had various marketing & innovation roles across the oral health, nutrition and over the counter (OTC) categories. She led the UK prescription to OTC “switch” of omeprazole for heartburn and sumatriptan for migraine and served two years on the Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB) “Joining Up Self Care” team, funded by the Department of Health to drive self-care in the community.
As Global Business Development Director at GSK, Frances identified and executed in and out-licensing deals, development agreements, strategic partnerships and M&A transactions across Europe, Africa, Latin America, SE Asia and the Middle East. In her last role before leaving GSK in August 2015, Frances led the anti-trust divestment separation team that resulted from the GSK / Novartis Consumer Healthcare JV.
